A lifelong Chelsea resident, she passed away in her Chelsea home on Friday morning, May 18th surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. She was 72 years of age. Born and raised in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (McSweeney) Tentindo. She attended Williams Elementary and Chelsea High Schools. She married Robert C. Belanger, Sr. and together they raised their family in Chelsea. They were sharing their 52nd year of marriage together. A loving wife and mother, Palma devoted her life to her home and family. She also worked various jobs outside of the home including being a Nurse’s Aide at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home and working as a crossing guard near various schools in Chelsea. Palma enjoyed arts and crafts and cooking in her spare time but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Her Funeral will begin from the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Thursday, May 24th at 10:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Chapel, Chelsea Soldiers Home, 91 Crest. Ave, Chelsea at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 - 8 P.M.
She is the Beloved wife of 52 years to Robert C. Belanger, Sr. of Chelsea. Devoted mother of Debra Antonelli and her husband Francis “Chip” of Everett, Chelsea Police Officer Robert C. Belanger Jr. of Chelsea and James Belanger and his companion Barbara Richard of Chelsea. Dear sister of George P. and Anthony Tentindo, both of Saugus. Cherished grandmother of Anthony Antonelli of Everett, Robert Belanger, III of Hampstead, NH and Sara Belanger of Chelsea. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and relatives.
