Of Chelsea and the Dominican Republic, he passed away on May 31st in the Dominican Republic. He was 78 years of age. Born in Cuba, he was the son of the late Juan and Anna Alvarez. He came to the United States when he was in his 20s and settled in Chelsea. He was a longtime resident of Chelsea and also spent time living in Revere. He worked as a truck driver and later moved to the Dominican Republic to open his own produce business. He had been living between Chelsea and the Dominican Republic for the past 25 years. He enjoyed watching baseball and was a Boston Red Sox fan.
Visiting hours will be held the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Sunday, June 10th from 6 to 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Interment will be private.
Domingo is survived by his 16 children, his brother Armando Alvarez and his sisters; Dora Simo, Juana and Reyna Garcia. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews
