A union fish packer and handler, he passed away unexpectedly in his Chelsea home on Father’s Day in the company of his family. He was 90 years of age. Born in East Boston, he was the son of the late Thomas and Abigail (Keene) LeMoure. He attended East Boston Schools and joined the C.C.C. He later enlisted in the US Army during WWII. He served in the Army Air Corps and was honorably discharged in 1945. In1949 he married Lillian nee;Richard and together they lived and raised their daughter in Chelsea. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1983. Richard worked on the Boston fish pier for various companies as a union fish packer and handler. He was a great narrator of family poetry.
His funeral will begin from the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Thursday, June 21st at 9:30 A.M.Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Chapel, Chelsea Soldiers Home, 91 Crest Ave. Chelseaat 10:30 A.M. Services will conclude with Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 - 8 P.M.Funeral Home fully handicap accessible, ample parking opposite Funeral Home.
He was the Beloved husband of the late Lillian (Richard) LeMoure, together they shared 34 years of marriage. Devoted father of Patricia Frank and her husband Richard of Chelsea. Dear brother of the late Joseph, Thomas, Francis X. and Edward LeMoure, Honora Dorothea Donegan, Mary McInnis, Rita Napier and Barbara LeMoure. Cherished grandfather of Brigitte De Veau and her husband David, Chelsea City Councilor, Matthew Frank and Jeremy Frank. Adored great grandfather of Aiden De Veau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his beloved feline companions, Mia and Sophia.
