Retired Tool and Die Machinist, he passed away on Jun 20 at the age of 93 in Ft.Worth,Tx, formerly of Chelsea. Beloved son of the late Walter and Josephine (Pazyra) Lawnicki.He was born and raised in Chelsea where he attended local schools graduating from Chelsea High School in 1936.He served in the U.S.Army Air Corps during WWII. He was honorably discharges in 1945 at the rank of Sergeant. He married his wife Genevieve (Puzan) in 1946 and settled in Chelsea raising a family until her death in 2006. He moved to Ft. Worth TX in 2007 to be closer to his son, Mark. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Gene, his parents, his brothers Gus and Henry Lawnicki and sister Edna Jakielaszek. He is survived by son Mark, his wife Gail and grandson Stephen of Fort Worth,Tx., Sister-in-law Jeanette Lawnicki of Woburn, Brother-in-law Wallace (Jack) Jakielaszek of Norwood and several nieces and nephews in the Boston area.
His Funeral will begin from the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Tuesday June 26th, at 8:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Church 163 Chestnut St. Chelsea at 9:00 A.M. Services will conclude with Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home on Monday from 4 - 8 P.M. Funeral Home fully handicap accessible, ample parking opposite Funeral Home.
